The world’s airlines will lose $9 billion this year after shedding $10.4 billion in 2008, IATA DG and CEO Giovanni Bisignani said Monday.

Singapore Airlines receives its first A330

Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-300. The aircraft was handed over by Airbus at a delivery ceremony in Toulouse, France, yesterday. Kuwait based Wataniya Airways gets its first plane

Kuwaiti start-up carrier Wataniya Airways has unveiled Dubai as its first destination, and will begin operating the route twice-daily from 8 February next year.
